Angus Rodger, VP - Head of Upstream Analysis, Wood Mackenzie 
In 2023, Angus became head of Wood Mackenzie’s upstream research analysis and content for the Asia-Pacific and Middle-East regions. Previous to that he led Wood Mackenzie’s Asia-Pacific upstream research. He is also a WM global upstream ‘thought-leader’ and author of leading benchmark analysis of pre-FID and deepwater projects, regional M&A, upstream decarbonization and CCS. 

Based in Singapore since 2006, he has ~20 years of upstream analysis, client engagement and business development across APAC. Joined WM’s upstream research team in 2008. Participated in a wide range of consulting projects for IOCs and NOCs, including deepwater basin screening, business development, M&A, and gas monetisation.

Host/presenter of Wood Mackenzie’s Asia-Pacific podcasts, conference and webinars. Regular contributor to TV/press, and speaker/moderator at industry events. 

Prior to WM, worked in the upstream industry for five years, covering the North Sea, Africa and Asia.

Holds a BA (Hons) degree in Politics with International Relations from the University of Warwick.
