As part of its expanded mandate, in 2022 AIEN created a taskforce to determine opportunities for existing and/or future model contracts, as well as potential development of educational offerings within the sphere of Carbon Capture and Storage. The CCUS Taskforce has progressed its work, most recently with the publication of a White Paper setting out the key commercial, policy and regulatory features which influence the investment case governing CCUS and the high-level risks and risk allocation along the CCUS value chain.

This webinar will feature members from the CCUS Taskforce who will have an interactive dialogue on potential risk considerations associated with CCS projects globally and discuss some of the major regulatory frameworks around the world, and the resultant economic impact and challenges for the development of CCS projects. They will also outline the developments that have been made to identify priority CCS agreements and provide a preview of what is next for AIEN and CCS in 2024.
