Webinar: "ESG in Energy Projects"

Charlie Chipchase is a Principal and Assistant General Counsel of Riverstone. He is based in London.

Prior to joining Riverstone in February 2014, Mr. Chipchase was General Counsel of Tercel Oilfield Products, a private equity-owned oilfield services company specializing in providing drilling, completions, and downhole services to the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Tercel Oilfield Products, Mr. Chipchase was an Associate at Vinson & Elkins LLP, where he focused on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions work in the energy sector.

Mr. Chipchase received his M.A. in History from Edinburgh University and his Diploma in Law and Legal Practice from the College of Law. He is licensed to practice law in England and Wales.

Michael Green is a counsel in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Environment, Land & Resources Department. He is a member of Latham & Watkins’s Core Team on Sustainability and a key member of the firm’s ESG Practice   His practice focuses on advising on the environmental and ESG aspects of corporate transactions in the UK and overseas, in addition to a wide variety of other work, including the provision of ESG and Sustainability advice more generally.  He has experience of environmental transactional, regulatory, and litigation matters and is experienced in the management of environmental, ESG and Sustainability risks.

Eric Dietert is ERM’s Southeast Texas Area Manager and a leader of the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Service.  Prior to ERM, Mr. Dietert was an owner and Executive Vice President at Pilko & Associates, a premier boutique consultancy where he led the Global M&A Advisory Practice. He focuses on strategic and time sensitive advice on ESG, EHS and operational risks and has been advising on M&A risks for over 30 years.   He has spearheaded global advisory assignments in more than 50 countries and over $600 billion in transaction value.

Mr. Dietert received his BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas and his MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Gabriel Salinas is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Avant Energy, a Riverstone Holdings LLC portfolio company, focused on the development of energy midstream and power projects.  Prior to Avant Energy, Gabriel was a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.  Gabriel has extensive experience in cross-border transactions and projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors.  Dual-licensed in New York. and Mexico, Gabriel has a J.D. degree from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey and an LL.M degree from Harvard Law School.
