Patrick Hebreard has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. He has been appointed as an expert regarding quantum of damages and industry standard issues on more than 20 occasions.

Patrick specialises in international arbitrations and has been cross-examined on numerous occasions, including giving concurrent evidence (hot-tubbing). He has acted as expert in many energy contract and energy infrastructure related cases for clients across Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and South America where damages claimed exceeded $1 billion.

Patrick is a commercial damages expert. He also acts as energy industry expert providing opinion on industry practice and market standards regarding contracts and project development, notably in relation to supply contracts, transportation matters, market dynamics and infrastructure development.


Olivier Massol, Professor of Economics, CentraleSupélec 
Olivier Massol is Professor of Economics at CentraleSupélec and Senior Research Fellow at the Sustainable Economy Research Group (S.E.R.G.) - Industrial Engineering Laboratory (L.G.I.). His research interests are in the fields of energy, environment and natural resources economics, applied economics, and industrial organization. His contributions typically focus on economic issues related to: 1. - The production and transformation of energy resources and their effects ; 2. - The provision of Energy infrastructures ; 3. - The deployment of new energy technologies; 4. - The economics of energy markets; 5. - The design and evaluation of environmental, technology and energy policies. From a methodological standpoint, Olivier's approach has an interdisciplinary nature as it combines Economics with Engineering. It mobilizes a variety of quantitative techniques drawn from microeconomics, econometrics, game theory, and operations research.
 

Dr. Johannes P. Willheim, Partner, Jones Day
Johannes Willheim has more than 20 years of experience as party representative, arbitrator, and mediator in international arbitration and litigation as well as counsel in aviation and energy-related transactions and regulatory matters. He is particularly sought after around the globe for his in-depth experience in the aviation, energy, and life sciences sectors as well as in antitrust law and government regulation. His representations and arbitrator appointments include agency, co-operation, corporate and post-transaction, engineering and construction, distribution, family, insurance, IP (intellectual property), pricing, and regulatory disputes.

Johannes is an authority in energy pricing disputes. As counsel, he has advised and represented energy companies along the value chain throughout the liberalization of EU energy markets and is currently doing the same on a global scale in the context of energy transition.

Leading international arbitral institutions, such as the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce), the DIS (German Arbitration Institute), and VIAC (Vienna International Arbitral Centre) appoint Johannes regularly as arbitrator. He is a vetted arbitrator of the The Hague Court of Arbitration of Aviation (HCAA) and the Court of Arbitration for Art (CfA).

Johannes is a co-editor and author of the GAR Guide to Aviation and Space Disputes and has published extensively on a myriad of legal topics. He is a regular guest lecturer at leading academic institutions like the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Law School of Pepperdine University, the University of Chicago Law School, and the University of Stockholm as well as a frequent speaker at legal and industry conferences.
