Lara Quie, Senior Director, Business Development - Forensic & Litigation Consulting, FTI Consulting
Lara Quie is a Senior Director in FTI Consulting’s Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment in London. A former BigLaw European Competition Solicitor, Lara now focuses on business development and community building in the legal industry (both private practice and in-house). 

Prior to returning to the U.K. in 2024, Lara was based in Asia, where she spent thirteen years in Singapore and Hong Kong. Whilst in Asia, she had roles as the Head of Business Development for APAC for a leading English Barristers’ Chambers, global law firms and an Alternative Legal Services Provider. 

Since graduating from Oxford University last millennium, Lara has been dubbed the ‘Queen of Pivots’ having been a lawyer, entrepreneur, Montessori nursery school teacher, kitchen designer, business consultant and business development professional. She is an accredited executive coach and host of the chart-topping ‘The Legal Genie Podcast’. Recently shortlisted by ALM | Law.Com as Mentor of the Year at the Leadership, Influence & Inclusivity in Law Awards 2025, she is the mother of three daughters and lives in the countryside near Oxford.
