Nick Kendrick, Counsel, Mayer Brown LLP
Nick is an accomplished energy lawyer with significant experience advising on LNG SPAs and LNG projects. Based in Singapore since 2019, Nick advises a broad range of clients including national oil and gas companies, project developers (both export and import), LNG buyers and LNG traders. Nick has advised on over 50 long-term LNG SPAs – the vast majority in the past 36 months – spanning deliveries into Asia and Europe and including US FOB SPAs from almost every US LNG export project. Nick’s recent work includes advising on innovative LNG on-sale and trading arrangements, reflecting the evolving commercial landscape of the LNG market, and high-profile terminal use agreements for regasification capacity at LNG import terminals. In addition, Nick has recently helped clients successfully navigate a number of LNG disputes, including claims relating to force majeure and failure to deliver, price review, and delays to commencement of supply.

Phillip Solomon is a managing director in BRG’s Energy & Climate practice, based in Singapore. He is a seasoned senior energy executive and recognized industry expert with nearly thirty years of experience in the oil and gas, LNG, power, renewables, and utility infrastructure sectors. He has worked as an owner/operator, original equipment manufacturer, and consultant throughout his career. He has led the project development of energy projects across the globe, including in American, European, Asian, and Australian markets.

Mr. Solomon has deep knowledge of the LNG trading industry with extensive experience in advising FSRU developers, negotiating LNG and gas sales and purchase agreements, developing and managing joint ventures with Asian LNG entities and customers, and managing facilities as an owner/developer.
