Asia Chapter Event "Investment Treaty Arbitration in the Energy Sector"

Assistant Professor Dr. Amnart Tangkiriphimarn, is Associate Dean for International Affairs and International Programs of the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University and Director of the international LL.B. Program. He has taught arbitration, international investment law, tort law, and law on business organizations courses. Amnart obtained his LL.B. degree with First-Class Honours from Thammasat University and LL.M. and J.S.D. degrees from Yale Law School. In 2017, he was awarded the Howard M. Holtzmann Fellowship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration from Yale Law School to work as an Assistant Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, the Netherlands. Amnart is currently on the panels of arbitrators of Thai Arbitration Institute, Thailand Arbitration Center, and Office of Insurance Commission and has been appointed arbitrator in several cases.

Monsicha (Mint) Pongrujikorn, is Counsel for Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. working on the acquisition, transition, and integration of Chevron (Thailand) Limited’s fuels and retail business by Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC) as SPRC’s seconded Senior Legal Counsel.

Mint is an experienced energy and natural resources negotiator who supports Chevron’s Oil, Products, and Gas full business value chain in the Asia Pacific region with up through downstream experience in base business operations, commercial and procurement negotiations, major projects, major transactions, and emergency response, including successful and continuous transfer of Thailand’s largest operating upstream asset. Prior to Chevron, Mint was a banking and project finance lawyer at Allen & Overy (Thailand) Co., Ltd. where she worked on renewable power projects throughout the ASEAN region.

Mint is a 2023 cohort graduate of Chevron’s Local Leadership Foundation Program, has an MBA from University of Cambridge, Judge Business School with Chevening/Cambridge Partnership Scholarship and an LLB from University of Bristol. She is among one of Thailand’s first Thai national UK-qualified solicitors, trained in Allen & Overy’s London, Bangkok, and Hong Kong offices (A&O Thailand's pilot-case Trainee Solicitor). Mint is an active member of AIEN’s International Energy Summit Organizing Committee.
