Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) continues to play a critical transitional role in the global shift from high-carbon fossil fuels toward lower-carbon and renewable energy systems. However, recent geopolitical upheavals, particularly the escalating conflict in the Middle East, have underscored the vulnerability of global energy supply chains. With oil prices rising sharply and energy security returning to the forefront of policy discussions, LNG is increasingly viewed not only as a transition fuel but also as a strategic component of energy resilience.
Join our Asia Chapter for a panel discussion co-hosted with the Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management, introducing AIEN’s 2025 Model LNG Sale & Purchase Agreement (SPA). Our featured speakers will examine how recent geopolitical shocks, shipping risks, and price volatility are reshaping contractual risk allocation in LNG transactions.
This event will also highlight emerging areas of contractual dispute and negotiation challenges that may arise as global LNG trade adapts to shifting trade routes, supply disruptions, and the evolving dynamics of the energy transition. Our speakers will offer LNG stakeholders a timely opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the contractual frameworks shaping the next phase of LNG market development—particularly in Asia and in Vietnam’s rapidly emerging LNG-to-power sector.
Registration is complimentary for members and $12 USD for non-members. Please register at the link to the right by April 10. If you have any issues registering, please email ychacon@aien.org.
