In this interactive discussion, panel members comprising of energy consultants and energy lawyers experienced in Asian LNG price reviews will share lessons-learned, pitfalls to avoid, and best practices with respect to the full spectrum of Asian LNG price reviews—from preparing for and conducting price review negotiations to securing a revised price in arbitration.  The panel’s own “review” of the landscape will encompass the evolution in Asian LNG price review clauses, including the “comparable contracts” approach common in Asian LNG contracts, data and confidentiality considerations, permissibility of adjustments to benchmark pricing, and the relevance of spot pricing.  Potential admissibility and jurisdiction objections will be explored.  There will also be a brief word on Res Judicata for those contracts experiencing multiple price reviews.  While no two price reviews are ever the same, this panel aims to provide practical, on-the-ground tips to assist both LNG sellers and buyers in successfully resolving their ongoing and upcoming price reviews in an era of volatile LNG pricing.
