Companies and lawyers are facing challenges from the U.S.’s increased use of economic and trade sanctions as a foreign policy tool. To comply, companies are expected to undertake extensive diligence and protect themselves contractually. In assisting them, lawyers face ethical dilemmas because they are not always able to answer their client’s questions. Failing to comply has consequences, from reputation damage to possible prison time and fines to even losing access to the U.S. market. This presentation is designed to provide an overview of the current sanctions landscape and suggested diligence to remain in compliance.

Breakfast will be served.

Registration is $15 for members, $20 for non-members, and $10 for students. Please register online as space is limited.
