As international energy and infrastructure projects grow in scale and complexity, in-house counsel and arbitration practitioners are under increasing pressure to anticipate and navigate disputes. Join our US Chapter for a discussion on two timely issues shaping today’s disputes landscape in the energy sector: reimbursable cost contracts and the revised ICC Rules of Arbitration entering into force on June 1, 2026.
Our first panel will examine common issues and flash points with reimbursable cost construction contracts in various sectors, including oil and gas, LNG, power, and data centers. Featured speakers will identify key risks and discuss tools to mitigate these risks at the contracting stage and during project execution.
The second session will focus on what in-house counsel needs to know about the revised ICC Rules of Arbitration, which will enter into force on June 1, including their impact on contracts across the energy industry. In-house counsel will ask pointed questions of a panel of experts about the revisions and their likely impact, as well as on best practices in ICC arbitration more generally.
Together, these discussions will deliver practical insights for in-house counsel working on high-stakes projects and set the stage for a cocktail reception that will offer attendees a focused networking opportunity in Houston.
