Live Webinar: "Status of Carbon Capture & Storage and Financing Aspects"

11:00 a.m. EDT Tuesday, May 19, 2020 - The webinar will last 1 hour (inclusive of Q&A)

Lee Beck, Senior Advisor for Advocacy and Communications, Global CCS Institute
James Lang, Shareholder, Greenberg Traurig

Organized by the Washington D.C. Sub-chapter, this live webinar is the second event of its four-part Power Series held throughout 2020. This webinar will provide an overview of Carbon Capture & Storage, as well as the financing aspects under the 45-Q tax incentive program, followed by a moderated conversation and Q&A.

Although fossils fuels will continue to comprise most of the global primary energy supply, future environmental policies and laws will likely attribute environmental costs to their continued use.  What financial incentives may become available to reduce carbon emissions, create offsets or capture and store CO2?

The 2020 Power Series “Responsible Investment in Energy” will cover a range of topics giving attendees a broader understanding of the global oil and gas industry and will provide networking opportunities for professionals in the private and government sectors.  Additional events in the series will be held throughout 2020.

Registration is complimentary for members and non-members.  Please register at the link to the right. After registering, details on how to access the webinar will be provided via email.
