The Asia Regional Chapter invites you to this one-day conference on “Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage in the APAC Energy Industry”. The conference will focus on CCS/CCUS issues that are relevant for the energy industry in the Asia Pacific region. The focus will be on global sustainability issues such as: 

  • Introduction to the basic technical, transportation, commercial, and legal concepts associated with CCS/CCUS.
  • An understanding of the minimum standards required to facilitate CCS/CCUS and the tools to evaluate existing legislative and regulatory frameworks to improve these regimes.
  • An understanding of how the industry is considering CCS/CCUS projects in selected APAC countries in the absence of comprehensive regulatory frameworks, including the development of contractual models to mitigate risks.
  • A discussion on market creation and current financing mechanisms to support CCS/CCUS in Asia.

This conference will include a diverse group of highly experienced and knowledgeable professionals in the energy industry. Our speakers and panelists will address topics such as the role of CCS/CCUS as a low-carbon solution, legal risks associated with inadequate regulatory structures, opportunities in APAC, the current regulatory frameworks in Asia Pacific, and more.
