Earlier this year, AIEN published its 2023 Model Joint Operating Agreement which introduced numerous significant additions and modifications to the 2012 edition, reflecting a rapidly changing energy sector. Among these were first-time treatment of International Sanctions, ESG and Human Rights. The result is a model agreement more in tune with the legal, commercial and technological environment to which it applies.

This Africa Chapter event will feature an expert panel discussing challenges faced in the negotiation and implementation of JOAs in Angola and the impact of changes made to the 2023 Model. The panel discussion will be prefaced by a lecture describing JOAs generally and the principal changes to the 2023 Model.

Ample time will be allowed for an audience Q&A session followed by a networking reception.

Join us for an informative session on this key industry agreement combined with a robust opportunity to meet with industry colleagues both new and old!

Registration is complimentary for members and non-members. Please register at the link to the right by November 14.
