Natalie Lonergan

Natalie Lonergan is a specialist energy lawyer and partner of Australian law firm Mills Oakley. Mills Oakley is an Australian national law firm with offices in every Australian capital city and several regional centres.
Natalie holds an LLM in Petroleum Law and Policy and has over 32 years international experience advising on cross border oil and gas transactions and projects. More recently she has also advised sponsors and developers on projects and transactions across CCS/CCUS, solar, wind (onshore and offshore), hydrogen, renewable fuels and energy storage.
Natalie is a lead of the AIEN Renewable Fuels Taskforce, a committee member of the AIEN Australia-Pacific Chapter and was a member of the AIEN CCUS and Hydrogen Taskforces. She played an active role on the organizing committee for AIEN CCUS Conferences held In Singapore in January 2024 and Perth in November 2024.
She is a member of the editorial committee of the Australian Energy Law Journal, regularly peer reviews articles for OGEL and guest lectures on oil and gas law at University of Sydney. Until recently, Natalie was also a specialist legal officer in the Australian Air Force reserve forces where she provided support on fuels procurement.
In her down time, Natalie is a keen skier and enjoys hiking mountain trails.
