James Lamouth, is the Head of Carbon Trading for Vitol Asia, covering the Asia Pacific region. Vitol is the world’s largest independent Energy Trader, active in global energy markets for over 55 years; a business built on long-term partnerships with a focus on delivering solutions and prudent financial management. James has more than 10 years of experience in international carbon markets. Prior to Vitol, James was lead of Shell’s Environmental Products Trading Business covering Southeast Asia and Oceania. He has extensive experience of compliance carbon markets in Europe and Asia Pacific, including the structuring of innovative products to meet customers’ carbon requirements across both voluntary and regulated markets.
